Kristen Marvin, ND
Naturopathic Medicine
Provider Team Lead
Wichita
Born and raised in Wichita, KS, I played college basketball at Friends University, earning two-time First Team All-Conference and Academic All-American honors. A late degree change led me to health care, and I spent four years as a medical assistant at a local family practice clinic. A personal health experience with a functionally-minded physician showed me my calling: naturopathic medicine.
A few months after getting married, I headed to Chicago and graduated magna cum laude from National University of Health Sciences. Near the end of my training, a friend’s Facebook post introduced me to Dr. Jeff Davis and Prairie Health & Wellness. After shadowing him and a chance reunion at a medical conference back in Chicago, I came home, admitted I was overqualified for his open medical assistant role, and asked to join anyway. I started at PHW in August 2014 and began practicing as a naturopathic doctor shortly after passing my board exams.
I’m licensed by the state of Kansas to practice naturopathic medicine, and I focus on complex chronic illness, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), gut health, and adrenal and thyroid health. I’m passionate about finding the root cause of health concerns and teaching people to optimize their health through lifestyle choices. Outside the clinic, you’ll find me on our farm with my husband, Tim, and our daughters, Charlotte and Violet. I also enjoy gardening, raising chickens, all things sourdough and crochet.
